Lets Face it.. you can’t really mess up baked ziti. It’s ALWAYS pretty good (well at least to me). As most of your know I’m a sucker for cheese and well.. my Ziti has tons of cheese in it. I do have one little trick up my sleeve when it comes to my Ziti and that’s Sour Cream! Try it, it rocks!
Tomato Sauce (I like to make my own – but jar sauce works great too)
3/4 Box Wheat Noodles
1 Block Mozzarella Cheese
Shredded Italian Cheese
3 Heaping Tablespoons Sour Cream (or you can substitute with Ricotta Cheese)
Preheat oven to 350
Boil noodles per directions on the box.
Grease bottom of pan with nonstick spray.
Mix Egg with Sour Cream.
Cut Mozzarella Cheese into small cubes.
In large bowl, mix noodles with Egg/sour cream mixture. Coat evenly.
Toss with Mozzarella cubes.
Spoon in sauce and toss to coat.
Add 1/2 of noodle mixture in glass pan.
Sprinkle with Italian cheese.
Add remaining mixture on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle with remaining Italian cheese.
Bake 20-30 minutes or until top cheese starts to brown.
