For a large crowd, this is a wonderful spin on traditional lasagna. The sour cream is the secret ingredient that really makes this dish stand out above the rest. Try substituting the meat for veggies for a yummy vegetarian lasagna!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Box Shell Noodles
  • 2-3 Cans Spaghetti Sauce (or homemade if you’re so inclined)
  • Ground Beef
  • 10-15 slices Provolone Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 16oz Sour Cream
  • Garlic and Italian Seasonings

 

 

Utensils:
Large Baking Bowl/Dish with High Sides
(I bought a Correll-ware large bowl from Publix – Works Great!)

Directions:

Preheat over to 400

Brown Ground Beef and Drain
Add Garlic and Italian Spices to Taste
Add Tomato Sauce and bring to a Boil
Bring Back down to simmer and let simmer

Cook Noodles

Put Small spoonful of Sauce in bottom of Baking Dish – this is so it won’t burn
Add a layer of noodles
Cover with another layer of sauce
Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese
Cover entire surface of Tomato Sauce with Provolone cheese
Cover provolone with thin layer of sour cream
Repeat (usually 2 more times for me)
Your dish should end with a layer of sour cream
Bake Covered for 1 hour
Remove and let sit for at least 30-40 mins before serving.
